Studio Balcones goes to LA
Our very own Nic Odekon just got back from L.A where he was recognized for being a 2017 University Olmsted Scholar. This prestigious award is a part of the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Olmsted Scholars program, which recognizes and supports students with exceptional leadership skills who are using ideas, service and leadership to advance sustainable design and foster human and societal benefits. We are very proud of Nic and lucky to have him as a part of the Studio Balcones Team!
Meanwhile, also in L.A, Ilse and Jennifer attended the ASLA Annual Meeting and Conference. They came back to Austin refreshed, inspired, and impressed by the work of many of their peers. Ilse was able to go on the “Gardens of the Arroyo Seco” Field Session and brought back some images to share. In their spare time they visited the Getty and Tongva Park, designed by Field Operations.
