The Client for this Phase 2 of an Austin-based Data Center wanted a generous and sustainable landscape with native materials and plants.
All materials were sourced locally including limestone gabions, limestone paving, and drought tolerant native grasses and plants.
The landscape includes two exterior courtyards – one gravel and one custom limestone paving. The intention is that the paved courtyard will be tented for corporate gatherings and events, while the gravel courtyard allows for the building to be ADA accessible in an attractive and elegant way.
Overall, the landscape and parking lot are shaded by numerous native trees with many places to sit and relax, inviting employees and visitors to come out and enjoy the Central Texas landscape during their work day.
